Betsy Ogburn is Associate Professor of Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She works on causal inference with a focus on causal and statistical inference for social network data. She leads the Johns Hopkins Causal Inference Group and is affiliated faculty at the University of Pennsylvania Causal Inference Center. She was selected in 2016 by the National Academy of Sciences as a Kavli Frontiers of Science Fellow. Her research is funded by the Mathematical Data Science program of the Office of Naval Research and by NIH. She holds an A.B. in philosophy and mathematics and a Ph.D. in biostatistics from Harvard University.
