On October 25, 2019, I had the opportunity to attend a comprehensive data science event from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The day began with registration and breakfast, followed by an enlightening opening session. I was particularly intrigued by the discussions on differential privacy for the 2020 U.S. Census, which provided deep insights into the balance between data privacy and utility. The afternoon sessions on redistricting and data science education were equally captivating, offering fresh perspectives from leading experts. Overall, the event was a remarkable experience, highlighting significant advancements and interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of data science.
